How to fill in New Form 15G / Form 15H?

The Direct Taxes Council (CBDT) has recently issued a notice of the new Form 15G & Form 15H new format and declaration procedure. The revised procedure enters into force on October 1, 2015.

Taxpayers are now able to create and submit 15G / Form 15H online forms so their bankers contact the internet banking portal of the respective bank.

How To Complete New Form 15G?
The new Form 15G consists of two parts:

Part 1 – This section is the filling of a person (person) who wants to claim certain income without TDS.

Form 15G Part-1 Section

Now go through each point of Part 1 of the 15G Form.

1 – Name of the declarant.
2 – tax payer’s PAN (Permanent Account Number). The declaration will be considered invalid unless a personal PAN is provided.
3 – Status – The declaration can be issued individually or by one person (other than a company or a company).
4 – The fiscal year in which the income relates.
5 – Residence status ie Resident India or NRI and so on.
6 – 14 – Your address and contact information.
15 (a) – Where any taxation is assessed under the Income Tax Act of 1961 for an estimate, ‘Yes’
six years prior to the date of submission of the declaration.
15 (b) – Last Year of Revenue Revenue has been marked and processed.
16 – Estimated income from this declaration.
17 – P.Y. estimated total revenue. (Current / Financial Year), the income is shown in Note 16.
18 – In the case of any declaration (s) submitted in the form 15G before submitting a new declaration within the fiscal year, the total number of Form No.
19 – The number of shares outstanding of the term deposit account number, such as recurring deposits, National Savings scheme, the number of life insurance policies, mention the Civil Service Code,(Please note, if you submit a 15G Form for the Fiscal Year 2015, the Appraisal Year 2016-17).

Part 2 – This section should be completed by the person/organization responsible for revenue. For example, a fixed deposit can be a bank that gives ‘interest income’.

How to fill in the new form 15H?
Form 15H is 60 years of age and older and 15G is for everyone. The new form 15H is also divided into two parts:

Part 1 – This section should be filled out by the Senior Citizen (individual) who wants to claim certain income without TDS.

Form 15H Part 1 Section

The information to be submitted in the new Form 15H is identical to the new Form 15G, except for the number plate. 3, where you (elderly citizen) should submit your birth date.

Part 2 – This section should be completed by the person/organization responsible for revenue. For example, a fixed deposit can be a bank that gives ‘interest income’.
